About Our Plans

When optimizing and serving your images, we’ll also resize it properly for the browser and screen used by each and every visitor for extra speed and savings!

Optimization Credits are allocated to your main account, credits can be used for both real-time optimization and local image compression as follows:

1 Credit | Live Optimization Request
10 Credits | Locally Compressed Image or Variation
100 Credits | Original Image Backed Up in the Cloud

You can get one time credit packs with no limits; however, we recommend a membership for agencies as monthly credits work best for setting client quotas.

Although usage varies based on your specific install, our average site uses 100,000 – 250,000 live requests per month.

That means on average:

  • 1 Million Live Requests is recommended for up to 5 sites 
  • 5 Million Live Requests is recommended for up to 10 sites 
  • 10 Million Live Requests is recommended for up to 25 sites 
  • 50 Million Live Requests is recommended for up to 125 sites 

You may also set custom quotas as you wish for total control!

Local image usage depends on the initial number of images in your media library, rate of new images added and your plugin and theme environment, but we’re very generous with credits!

Each month the linked website can optimize images according to the quota you set when linking your website.

There will be no interruption once a website hits it’s quota; however, the images will revert to the bloated original versions and go back to being served significantly slower from your server without the CDN.

You can modify quotas or add additional credits at anytime within the portal.

Memberships are a monthly allocation of images, think about it like your cell phone data plan, while credit packs are a one-time credit boost, great for bulk optimizing local images on new websites or creating an overflow buffer!

About The Software

With any account you can link an unlimited number of websites, the only factor you need to account for is how you plan on allocating credits.

WP Compress was built to make all of your images and assets load lightning-fast across the entire globe, as images are the #1 cause for slow loading websites, which leads to users stuck waiting. Lightning-fast images can lead to increased website performance, lower bounce rates, better Search Engine rankings and more conversions!

You may choose between local backups, cloud backups or neither. 

With local and cloud backups, you may restore a single image or all images to the original state at any time.

Live mode automatically optimizes your images and scripts in real-time based on the incoming visitors device, browser, screen resolution, location on page and geo-location to help you get the fastest load times around!

It includes adaptive images, WebP conversion, Retina support, lazy loading and more served over a lightning-fast CDN!

Using Local Compression Mode, you may select the backup location (cloud or local) then your images are optimized either in bulk or individually in the media library. You then may serve them locally from your website or media library, or use a third party CDN/Cloud as normal.

Woah, slow down there… we don’t want you leaving us!

But say you were to deactivate, if you were using live mode, your site will resume serving the significantly slower, unoptimized images. Your images will remain in the previous state before WP Compress was added.

If you’ve locally compressed images, the smaller optimized images are saved on your server and if you were to deactivate the plugin, they’d maintain the current state. You may restore them for up to 14 days after deactivation, so if you’re interested in restoring then please do so before deactivating.
